  • Kojic acid

This is a substance obtained from a fungus. This acid slows down tyrosinase, very sensitive to UV rays and responsible for the excessive production of melanin. Ideal for reducing or preventing blemishes. However, its dosage has been limited to 1%, with the risk of drying out the skin or turning it white. Suitable for oily skin, it also acts on acne and redness.

  • Tranexamic acid

This is a synthetic derivative of lysine, an essential amino acid for the body. It attacks hyperpigmentation by blocking inflammatory mediators, before melanin gets out of control. It is gentle and non-aggressive on the skin, suitable for all skin tones, and as it is perfectly tolerated by sensitive skin, it is also recommended for pregnant women, for example, who are prone to melasma.

For a radiant complexion

  • Ascorbic acid

This is vitamin C, a water-soluble compound (which dissolves in water). In cosmetics, it can be of vegetable origin (citrus fruits, vegetables, etc.) or synthetic. Its main function is to stimulate collagen synthesis, protect the skin from free radicals and even out the complexion. In recent years, it has been the star of “beautiful skin” products.

  • Retinoic acid

It is a synthetic or natural derivative of vitamin A. Originally used to treat acne, this acid has a very positive effect on skin texture, appearance, thickness and elasticity. However, it should be used with caution, as it is sometimes poorly tolerated by certain skins.

  • Azelaic acid

Also known as azelan, azelaic acid is a molecule found in wheat, rye or barley seeds. It is not very well known, but it is very effective in smoothing the skin and homogenizing the complexion by reducing small blemishes.

  • Glycolic acid

Glycolic acid is a fruit acid obtained from sugar cane, beet or grape extracts. It acts by breaking down the intercellular glue that holds dead cells together, allowing them to be removed from the surface of the skin. Renewal occurs naturally, with fresh cells rising to the surface, restoring the skin’s radiance.

  • Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid is extracted from willow bark, and is also present in many fruits and vegetables, such as almonds, tomatoes, melons, raspberries, cherries, grapes, apricots, cucumbers, spinach, etc. Thanks to its astringent properties, salicylic acid loosens dead cells accumulated in the horny layer and thus stimulates cell renewal. It is used to even out the complexion and, in the treatment of acne, its antiseptic action prevents pores from clogging and its anti-inflammatory properties reduce redness and pimples that tend to become inflamed.

  • Lactic acid

Found in milk sugars, wine and certain fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes and guava, and even in fermented beets, sugar cane and corn. It is the special chemical exfoliant for fragile skin. As its molecule is much larger than the others, it penetrates less deeply and therefore does not irritate the driest and most sensitive skins. It can also be found in shampoos to exfoliate the scalp.

  • Mandelic acid

It is a fruit acid that is extracted, in its natural version, from bitter almonds, but can also be synthesized in the laboratory. Like lactic acid, it has a high molecular weight that allows its use on sensitive and fine skins. Its exfoliating action is therefore gentler and better tolerated.

  • Ferulic acid

Ferulic acid belongs to the polyphenol family and is found in spinach, rice, rye and cocoa. It is a potent antioxidant, which protects and strengthens skin cells from external aggressions to reduce wrinkles and plump the skin. It is also believed to have an antitumor action, but this remains to be verified by human clinical studies.

  • Polyglutamic acid

Produced from soy fermentation, this new cosmetic ingredient could steal the show from hyaluronic acid. It is capable of capturing more than 5,000 times its weight in water, compared to 1,000 times that of HA, and of retaining this water even longer in the skin. Its low molecular weight is an additional advantage that allows it to glide through the corneal layer. It is therefore a powerful moisturizer that nourishes and plumps, fills fine lines and protects the skin from external aggressions.

How to implement the “brake” trick?

According to experts, efficient and smart driving can save you a lot of money on fuel. Therefore, they often recommend avoiding sudden acceleration and braking and trying, as much as possible, to maintain a constant speed.

But what is this famous “brake” method that everyone is talking about right now? In fact, it emphasizes letting the vehicle roll by its own inertia: specifically, you have to take your foot off the accelerator and let the car roll in gear. Your foot must be on the brake pedal to make the necessary corrections to adapt your speed. In this way, progressive braking is achieved with less wear on both the gearbox and the clutch. Therefore, in addition to saving fuel, it also extends the useful life of these two fundamental elements of the car.

NB : the “brake” trick can reduce the vehicle’s fuel consumption by up to 2%. Of course, make sure you always drive within the legal safety distance.
